Zip Line Over The Grand Canyon

If you’re an adrenaline junkie looking to get your next fix, The Zip Line at Grand Canyon West has got your name written all over it. As the name suggests, this heart-pounding experience has you soaring nearly 1,000 feet above the Grand Canyon, giving you a bird’s eye view of this natural wonder while you wiz by at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.

The attraction consists of two “quad ziplines”, each configured with four steel cables running side-by-side in parallel formation, to allow groups to soar together. The first of the two lines measures about 1,100 feet in length. The second line, set at a steeper grade, propels you on the 2,100-foot-long downhill adventure of a lifetime, complete with views of nearby Quartermaster Canyon and rushing scenery above and below.

Just check out this little teaser clip from Grand Canyon West:

“We’re taking the West Rim to a new level of excitement. The zip line at Grand Canyon West gives our guests a unique adrenaline surge that will be one of the longest and most exciting zip lines found anywhere in the world,” Candida Hunter, chairwoman of the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation Board of Directors, said in a statement.”

The Zipline At Grand Canyon West sounds like one heck of a wild ride, and at $89 a person, it is reasonably priced to boot! The next time I’m visiting Vegas, I might have to take a little detour and check it out.

Those looking for even more adventure can take a walk on the nearby Grand Canyon Skywalk, the 10-foot-wide, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge extends 70 feet out over the rim of the Canyon. Look down and you can see right through the glass platform 4,000 feet to the floor of the Canyon below.

This Airline Is Paying One Lucky Person $4,500/Mo To Travel The World

Published

How would you like to spend the summer traveling the world, and getting paid good money to do so? Well you’re in luck, because the Iceland-based budget airline WOW Air is currently on the hunt for their first-ever WOW Air Travel Guide.

One lucky winner will score a 3-month summer job of their dreams, which entails relocating to Iceland, and then traveling the world and exploring some of WOW air’s 38 destinations across Europe & North America, documenting your travels to create a complete digital Travel Guide.

Better still, you get to bring a friend with you to share in this once-in-a-lifetime experience, and they will also get paid. Speaking of which, each of you will be earning $4,550 per month, which is pretty amazing considering I would do something like this for free!

If you’re ready to drop everything to move to Reykjavik, Iceland, spend the summer exploring new countries, sampling the best each destination has to offer, while making some healthy bank, then head over to the WOW Travel Guide site to fill out the written application and to submit a short video travel guide of your hometown.

Don’t wait too long, as they’re only accepting application through May 14th. If you’re picked, your journey begins on June 1st. So hopefully you’ve got an up-to-date passport.

Good luck!

A REAL Survivor Experience Exists, And It Sounds Incredible!

Published

on

For years, I was obsessed with the TV show Survivor, and I always wondered how I would fare if I were there in the thick of it. Would I be able to survive the mental and physical challenges that these contestants faced?

Well here’s your chance to find out. Adventure company No Roads Expeditions has their very own Survivor Island experience, where you get whisked away to an undisclosed location in the South Pacific and rough it Survivor style for 8 long days. The cost? A cool $5,950.

The concept of Survivor Island is to journey into your psychology, your mental toughness by abandoning you on a deserted island and requiring you to make do with what that island has to offer. You will go nowhere, as you will be stuck on the island. There will be no shelter, no water, no equipment to catch anything. For you to acquire these things, you will need to innovate, create and work together as a team.

You and 5 other Survivors on the island will have to build shelter, gather water and food and live together on an isolated island for over a week. You will be hot. You will be cold. You will be hungry and thirsty. You’ll be exposed to the elements and to other people. This is a raw experience, one that will strip you of all your creature comforts and force you to step out of your comfort zone.

Needless to say, Survivor Island is not for everyone. But if you’re ready for the ultimate endurance challenge that will push you to your limits, both physically and emotionally, then pack your bags and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! Are you up to the challenge?

The Royal Flush Super Slide Is America’s Greatest Water Slide

Published

on

If you’re a fan of huge-ass waterslides, wait until you see this amazing video of the Royal Flush Super Slide at BSR Cable Park in Waco, TX. Hot girls, a death-defying water slide, and $15 for an all-day pass?! Sounds like it’s time to get my ass to Texas!

This video was shot by AJ Aguirre and Ben Hammer of Round III Media, and it showcases the full glory of the Royal Flush Super Slide. The duo used GoPros and a Phantom 3 drone to get incredible shots of the action, and added a bunch of ridiculously good looking people in for good measure.

At 60ft tall and 120ft long, the monster slide features three different jump levels and launches its riders into a pool of water 15-20ft deep — and if you’re wondering, that green color in the water’s apparently due to high mineral content.

Looks like a blast, this bad boy is definitely going on my bucket list!
