Keanu Reeves has reprised his role as John Wick, with the first trailer for John Wick 4 revealed over the weekend during San Diego Comic-Con. Once again, we find Wick doing what he does best, kicking ass and taking names, and using any weapon at his disposal to do so.
As you can imagine, fans were overjoyed by this news, as the last John Wick movie came out back in 2019. Naturally, the pandemic set things back quite a bit, between production delays and theater closure, not to mention Reeves’ commitments to The Matrix 4, which was slated to be released at the same time.
The latest John Wick movie picks up right where the third film left off, with Wick still fighting for his life, complete with car chases, sword fights, and other general mayhem.
Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) takes on his most lethal adversaries yet in the upcoming fourth installment of the series. With the price on his head ever increasing, Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin.
We’re also getting an absolutely stacked cast. Joining Reeves is Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Ian McShane.
Get excited, because John Wick 4 is slated to hit theaters on March 24, 2023.
