Watch As Two Carrnival Cruise Ships Crash Into One Another In Mexico

Published

on

Videos were posted on social media this morning showing two Carnival Cruise Line ships (the Carnival Glory and Carnival Legend) colliding with one another while making their way into port in Cozumel, Mexico.

As you can see from this video, the back end of the Carnival Glory smashed into the bow of the Carnival Legend as it was maneuvering into port, causing a significant amount of damage to both ships. The incident was reportedly caused by high winds and strong currents.

This amazing video was captured by a couple sitting on their balcony aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, which was docked right next to the Glory. In fact, at one point, they thought it was going to hit the Oasis as well, had not the captain sounded the horn.

Photos posted on Twitter show the damage caused to the Glory’s Platinum Restaurant dining area, which we’re guessing was closed for the remainder of the cruise. Thankfully, injuries were minimal, with only six passengers requiring minor care.

I’ve been on plenty of cruises over the years, but I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’m guessing someone’s out of a job right about now..

This is wild. There is not way they should have been that close to each other in the first place. Someone was asleep at the wheel for sure….
